Assignment 3 : Narrative Story


Puff The Magic Dragon Story





   Once upon a time, there's a magic dragon named Puff. Puff was lived in a island called Honah Lee, in this island the weather was always autunm it's very beautiful island. One day, a boy came to this island and met Puff The Magic Dragon, His name is Little Jackie Paper. Puff and Jackie Paper then became a close friend. 
   Jackie Paper was a kind boy, he always visited Puff in Honah Lee and brought Puff a fancy stuff. Puff loved Jackie very much so Jackie too. One day, Jackie and Puff has an idea, they're wanted to travel arround the sea. So they travel on a boat with billowed sail accross the sea, they were very happy. They met Noble King and Princess in a kingdom. They were greeted with great fanfare by the Noble King and Princess, the people welcomed bow Puff and Jackie. Feast was held, as it has come the magic dragon puff, and gives wonders for the people in the kingdom. Puff and Jackie were very happy, so Puff gave green scales and gave blessing to all the people of the kingdom. They are very happy because Puff and Jackie. It's time to continued the journey across the sea. The People from Kingdom was very sad, Noble King and Princess gave a gift to Puff and Jackie, It was a kingdom's key. So, Puff and Jackie could visited the kingdom anytime. 
  
    Puff lives forever because He is magic dragon but not so Jackie Paper. A few months have passed, and Jackie Paper stricken serious illness, Puff was very sad. He ceased his fearless roar. His head was bent in sorrow, green scales fell like rain. Puff no longer went to play along the cherry lane because Puff was very sad. Then, come a fairies and asked Puff what happened, Puff tell that his bestfriend was attacked by serious illness. Fairy who feel pity then helped Puff. With the power of magic, Fairy then cure Jackie Paper and Give life forever to Him like Puff.
So, Puff and Jackie live Happily ever after and could continued They're adventure.




·                     This story is, inspired by a song's that sing by Kyuhyun Super Junior in SS2. Kyuhyun was very cute when he sang this song. ^^

Assigment 2 : Narrative


* Definition Of Narrative (Social Function)

§                                 To entertain the reader with a story that deals with complications or problematic events which lead to a crisis and in turn finds a resolution
§                                 To amuse , entertain and to deal with actual or various experience in different ways

* Generic Structure (+explanation)

1. Orientation
Sets the scene : Where and when the story happened, introduces the participants of the story : Who and what is involved in the story
2. Complication
Tells the beginning of the problem which leads to the crisis (climax) of the main participants
3. Resolution
The problem (the crisis) is resolved, either in a happy ending or in a sad (tragic) ending
4. Re-orientation
This is a closing remark to the story and it is optional. It consists of a moral lesson, advice or teaching from the writer

* Language Features (+example)

§                                 Nouns : travelers, bundles, tree, road, etc.
§                                 Pronouns : they, their, its, it, etc.
§                                 Noun phrases : the dusty and rough road, a big old tree, etc.
§                                 Time connectives and conjunctions : one day, a week later, then, a long, long time ago, when, etc.
§                                 Adverbs and adverbial phrases : angrily, in horror, etc.
§                                 Material processes (action verbs) : arrived, ate, went, laughed, etc.
§                                 Verbal processes (saying verbs ) : asked

* Example

The smartest parrot
Once upon time, a man had a wonderful parrot. There was no other parrot like it. The parrot could say every word, except one word. The parrot would not say the name of the place where it was born. The name of the place was Catano.
The man felt excited having the smartest parrot but he could not understand why the parrot would not say Catano. The man tried to teach the bird to say Catano however the bird kept not saying the word.
At the first, the man was very nice to the bird but then he got very angry. “You stupid bird!” pointed the man to the parrot. “Why can’t you say the word? Say Catano! Or I will kill you” the man said angrily. Although he tried hard to teach, the parrot would not say it. Then the man got so angry and shouted to the bird over and over; “Say Catano or I’ll kill you”. The bird kept not to say the word of Catano.
One day, after he had been trying so many times to make the bird say Catano, the man really got very angry. He could not bear it. He picked the parrot and threw it into the chicken house. There were four old chickens for next dinner “You are as stupid as the chickens. Just stay with them” Said the man angrily. Then he continued to humble; “You know, I will cut the chicken for my meal. Next it will be your turn, I will eat you too, stupid parrot”. After that he left the chicken house.
The next day, the man came back to the chicken house. He opened the door and was very surprised. He could not believe what he saw at the chicken house. There were three death chickens on the floor. At the moment, the parrot was standing proudly and screaming at the last old chicken; “Say Catano or I’ll kill you”.

Assignment 1: Warning

What is Warning ?

-A warning system is any system of biological or technical nature deployed by an individual or group to inform of a future danger. Its purpose is to enable the deployer of the warning system to prepare for the danger and act accordingly to mitigate or avoid it.

1. Example of dialog
ilzamy: hi where are you going eko?
eko    : i want to go to my uncle's house 

ilzamy: be careful when you cross the street ketileng!
eko    : why should I be careful?
ilzamy: because the bridge is in the way ketileng being improved, so that the course is closed
eko    : thanks for the information
 


Note


If we want to warn someone, we may have the following expressions:
a.              Watch out!
b.              Look out!
c.               Be careful!
d.              Take care when you drive!
e.              Whatever you do, do it carefully.
f.                These tablets should be kept out of the reach of the children.
g.              Read the instruction attentively
h.              Keep of the carpet. It has just been cleaned.
i.                 Beware!

Drill Basket Sederhana

Defense menggunakan pressing sekarang tengah menjadi tren di kompetisi bola basket seluruh dunia, termasuk di Indonesia. Berikut drill dan strategi 1-2-1-1 Halfcourt Press (© Basketball PlayBook ver 9 by J.E. Smit).

Keterangan Gambar 6:
* If the attackers pass to the corner out of an initial trap, a second trap can be set by left wing X3 and center X4.
* X1 slides down and joins X5 as an interceptor. Weak side wing X2 slides down to replace X5 as safety.
* If safety X5 moves out to defend/trap the ball handler in the corner, centre X4 would take her place at the ball side low post.

Keterangan Gambar 5:
If the ball handler is dribbling at speed or out of control towards a wing player, she can yell "Jump" and jump switch with point defender X1 (exchange positions).

A wing player can fake a trap (hedge and recover). If the ball handler stops and picks up her dribble before mid court, the wing player yells "Dead", point defender X1 smothers her check, and X3, X4 and X2 face guard and deny a pass to other attackers, including any reversal pass.

Keterangan Gambar 3:* If the attackers reverse the ball before centre, point defender X1 cuts off the return pass and encourages the ball handler to dribble across centre into a trap with right wing defender X2, who cuts off the pass to the corner until the ball crosses centre, then moves up.
* X4 and X3 are the interceptors behind the trap.

* Center X4 has deep sideline and middle responsibility when the trap is set by the point and wing defenders.
* Weak side right wing defender X2 plays the pass or cut into the middle. X4 and X2 are the interceptors, X5 is the safety.

* Point defender X1 picks up and pressures the ball handler before centre, forces the dribble to either sideline, and traps with the ball side wing defender once the ball crosses centre. Left wing X3 initially denies the pass into the corner, and does not move up until the ball has crossed centre.
* Center X4 stays on the vertical line of the ball as it is brought up the court.
* As shown below, options out of the half court press are:
- hedge (fake the trap) and recover
- run and jump switch (Jump)

- Players 1 and 2 start on the low block with their back to the coach.
- When the coach calls out a player's name, both players pivot with the player whose name was called being on offense.
- The objective is for both players to react quickly to get a score or a defensive stop.

- 2 or more balls
- 6 or more players
Setup:
2 players in each corner of the baseline.
2 players at the top of the bucket.
Player 1 will pass to the player at the top of the bucket and
then goes to the opposite of the court to defend player 3 who receives the ball from the top which try to shoot to the rim.

DRILL dribble slide lay-up

- A fairly simple but effective conditioning drill.
- 6 or more players, each player a ball.
- First the players dribble to the corner, and make a reverse dribble to keep their body between ball and the (imaginary) defense.
- Speed dribble to the mid line.
- Hold the ball, (or if you have ball racks place the ball in the rack), while doing defensive footwork parallel to the mid line to the other side. Face to the (offense) basket.
- Finally speed dribble and left handed lay-up.
- After 2 minutes rotate to the other side.
